"Originally I am from Lithuania, but since I live in Aarhus for almost 6 years, I sometimes forget that Denmark is not my country of origin. What brought me to Aarhus was the hunger of adventures and possibility to gain a high quality education. When I finished school in Lithuania, I decided that I have to experience the world which meant that I had to move to another country. This was one of the best decisions I made in my life.
The first country I went to was UK, though, I have to say, that it was not the right place for me. After three months of searches and conversations with my friends and family, I decided to try my luck in Aarhus. The best thing about Aarhus I would say is its diversity. I am not only talking about the people living here, who are obviously very diverse, but also the nature and environment around us. A Great example is the Den Gamble By, which is an old city inside the modern one. This creates connection between the past and presence, which is one of the best ways of reminding us to appreciate the history of the city we live in!
In the next few years I would like to finish learning Danish and not be afraid to actually use it every day! Also, I hope that I’ll still be working on my startup and grow more as a professional. I have a feeling that these two upcoming years will focus a lot on my career."
